Reasons to Celebrate

On her birthday, Sunstreaker scoops up a nine-year-old Annabelle to say hi

Sunstreaker and Sideswipe were the last to arrive, which surprised no one. They parked themselves, activated their holograms, and proceeded to gather their multitude of moderately-well-wrapped gifts. As it turned out, there was a skill to wrapping colourful paper around oddly shaped objects. This was a skill the twins discovered they lacked.

"Sunny! Sides!" Annabelle cheered delightedly, racing toward their alt modes the moment she spotted them through the front window. She crawled her way up Sideswipe's bonnet, her sneakers leaving smears in his nice shiny finish. He did not care at all as he purred his engine, vibrating her tiny body.

"Happy birthday, sweetspark," said the red twin.

"Thank you!" Annabelle chirped, kissing his windshield. She was plucked up by Sunstreaker's hologram, greeted by rubbing cheeks with him. It was a very Cybertronian way of greeting people. Annabelle loved to rub cheeks, and hug them, and kiss them. She did both latter things right after the cheek-rubbing was done.

As soon as she was placed on the ground, she took up Sunstreaker's hand to pull him toward the door. "You have to come play!" she laughed, her golden curls bouncing. "Everyone's playing Twister!"
